Rich Batsford has been performing solo for around eight years, "Quietly building a following for his melodic and magical compositions" Birmingham Post
• “flowing melodic soundtrack, it’s very easy to feel the joy" Igloo Magazine
Rich’s enjoyable and engaging solo piano music combines artful classical influences with an easy going contemporary ear recalling Ludovico Einaudi, Debussy and Philip Glass.
With just enough repetition of each delightful motif to draw the listener in, the organic, yet purposeful structures lead to moments of calm reflection, bittersweet joy and uplifting climax.
The 2014 Adelaide Fringe sees Rich perform a new show in the delightful setting of the State Dining Room in historic Ayers House. The performance will feature Rich’s original compositions including new work alongside a suite of highlights taken from his debut album ‘Valentine Court’ as well as a live onstage improvisation to mark the release of “In the Moment’ (an album of improvisations) and a suite of classics from perhaps the world’s most famous pianist composer, Ludovico Einaudi.
