"Seven Valleys" by Greg Maroney

'Living in south central Pennsylvania has been a blessing for my wife and me. We have learned to be more self reliant, we are healthy, and have developed an acute sense of appreciation for our environment. We can fix our house when anything breaks, and build anew if the need arises. But mostly, we have felt closer to the land. This feeling is with us while turning the soil to grow our own food, planting trees for shade, or watching the seasons evolve from the warmth of a summer's afternoon to a cold snowy winter's day. The people who live here have taught us these things, and this music is dedicated to this place, this time and these people.

My songs are moments of life, captured in music. Sometimes these are the everyday sort, and sometimes from those that are life-changing. Addie is our little black rescue dog who smiles. Emma, another rescue dog, seems to live for the Fantastic Ride to the post office. Evening Song, Daybreak and Cloudburst - these are all moments that we share and everyone can relate to. Becoming One is a moment that I can only hope everyone else gets to experience. But Dark was a time that I wouldn't wish on anyone. Last summer I began losing the sight in one eye. As it progressed and the darkness grew I wrote this piece. Fortunately for me, the problem was identified and treated and to this day I savor all that I see. Look around you, be inspired, hear the music.'

Somewhere Within - solo piano

So it took three years... there's alot of heart in this one! I was very fortunate to be able to compose & record this at home on my dream piano, my new Kawai RX-7. There's nothing like being able to hit 'record ' whenever the inspiration hits! These tracks are testament to an introspective period of my life, seeking the answers "somewhere within". I invite you to to take a listen to the samples, download a free track, and visit my website for the CD, downloads & newly released sheet music. WEBSITE

Monday, June 11, 2007New CD, "Thoughts & Dreams", from Jennifer Haines

Thoughts and Dreams by Jennifer Haines

I'm pleased to announce the release of my latest CD "Thoughts and Dreams". This CD is my tribute to imagination and creativity. After two years spent working with Christmas carols it was delightful to be composing again. I spent every spare moment I had writing, playing and just enjoying the creative process. Each song is a moment or feeling or thought that has been set to music. "Thoughts & Dreams" is thirteen tracks of beautiful, original solo piano music that is relaxing but definitely not just "background" music. The liner notes include a brief story about the origin of each piece and also an original poem ("Aspen") that I wrote while I was dreaming one night. If you'd like to purchase a copy please visit my website at: http://www.usfourmusic.com.

Thursday, May 31, 2007Laura’s new CD, Feast of Joy & Love, is released!

Feast of Joy & Love

An enticing feast for the ears, Laura Sullivan’s new album features a blend of piano with ethereal vocals and other acoustic instruments such as violin, saxophone and percussion. The songs are organized in the album as appetizers, first & second courses and dessert. The music is relaxing and soothing while delving into heartfelt realms inspired by joy and love. The songs consist of Laura Sullivan’s own compositions along with 5 classical arrangements: a medley of Bach called "Bouquet of Bach", "Ala M'Ode to Joy", based on Beethoven's "Ode to Joy", "Waltzing with Beethoven" adapted from the Sonata Pathetique, "Albinoni's Secret Smile“, an arrangement of the traditional Albinoni's Adagio with a surprise joyful key change, and a new arrangement of Greensleeves.
